The programs are of 3 different types:
1) BASIC, Transport to/from Chisinau + visit to the cellar (total duration 2 hours 45 minutes)
2) STANDARD, Transport to/from Chisinau + visit to the cellar + tasting of 4 wines (total duration 3 hours 30 minutes)
3) PREMIUM, Transport to/from Chisinau + visit to the cellar + tasting of 4 wines + lunch (total duration approximately 4 hours)
The Cricova winery boasts the world record for having the longest series of underground roads used for storing wine. Cricova, however, does not only represent a warehouse for wines but is also considered the best company for the production of sparkling wines obtained with the Champennois method, which during the Soviet era were sold and tasted throughout the Union and in the rest of the communist world Currently, following the restorations carried out in 2008, the magnificent tasting rooms are available for all visitors and are also used by the Moldovan state for official receptions.
The famous collection of fine wines that belonged to German Reich Field Marshal Hermann Göring is still stored in these prestigious cellars. The documents that testify to the presence of this priceless collection on the Bessarabian territory date it back to the last years of the Second World War when the Field Marshal transported it with him when he moved to the eastern front to conduct military maneuvers.
